Even though these Spintube Spin Flies look awesome, they're not meant to be used as decoration. These flies are very effective when your trying to catch rainbow trout, trout, perch, pike etc. Usually these are cast with common spinning rods but some of them can be used also for ice fishing. You can change fishing techniques according to water temperatures. When the water is cold, reel slow and give some pauses now and then. As the water temperature rises, reel faster and with some models also very fast when the fly glides along the surface of the water.
