Grayling is an elongated salmon fish that rarely grows very large. The grayling's most obvious feature is the sail-like dorsal fin. In Finland, grayling is mostly found in waterways, rivers and lakes in the north, but it is also found in eastern Finland and in low-salinity sea areas. The most common graylings weigh around one kilo. Due to the grayling's natural food, the most common form of fishing is fly fishing. Spoons and spinners also go with it, so you might as well use a spinning reel combo for fishing. You can also ice fish grayling in winter.
